Glamping is the clever blending of glamorous and camping. It is the unique experience of immersing yourself in nature but spoiled with the comforts of a high end boutique hotel. There is nothing quite like it.
Our goal is to provide you with everything you need and more for your glamping experience. No need to worry about fitting it into suitcases or forgetting something. We provide all the linens, towels, pillows, cookware, soap and shampoo, firewood in the cooler season, propane for fire tables and camp stoves, right down to flashlights and binoculars. Bring your toothbrush and clothes.
We are a family operated boutique glamping campground with three tents. We excel at offering quality over quantity with personal attention and tent decor never experienced before.
Yes, not only do you have your own themed and antique adorned bathroom and shower, but there is also a shower house with your typical flush toilet, shower and sink for your use.
We want you comfortable during your stay. Fortunately our glamping season requires very little work for that to happen. In the cooler shoulder seasons, we provide firewood for the wood stoves in each tent. If that sounds like work, we provide propane Heater Buddies and fire tables to take that chill off. In the warmer summer months, cool breezes are common almost every evening and DC powered fans are available for your use.
There is a main queen bed and a pull-out full mattress in each tent. This comfortably sleeps four. Since our main goal is family time spent together, we don't limit the number of children if sleeping arrangements can be solved before arrival.
YES, we are very pet friendly and your glamping property is perfect for them with unlimited acres to run and explore. WE ask that no pets are allowed on the beds or linens. We also have a $30 PER PET cleaning fee to allow for the extra cleaning required that or non-pet guests expect.
Check-in is 3:00 pm. Check out is 10:00 am. Often times we can accommodate an early arrival or late departure depending on our cleaning schedule. This must be approved in advance of arrival.
Despite the feeling your glamping in the middle of the forest, Keystone, SD is only 2 miles away and offers a small grocery store, gas stations, restaurants, and entertainment galore.
Also, Rapid City is 20 minutes from your tent with a large selection of grocery stores and two Walmart's.
Your glamping tents have stood the test of time. The Black Hills are notorious for intense thunderstorms. In five years of glamping, the tents have never leaked a drop!
The Black Hills haven't had any bears since the 1960's. So no.
NO! Our number one objective at Black Hills Glamping is our beautiful forest preservation. Only YOU can prevent forest fires! Outside campfires are NOT allowed under any circumstances due to the fire dangers associated with them.
Yes, and we include the propane cook stove, cookware, silverware, paper plates/bowls, cups, and much more. We have you covered, just bring your food.
Short answer, No. Our goal with these tents were to leave the smallest footprint I could to our forest. Your glamping tents are off the electrical grid but instead have their own solar electrical system much like your car. It's a DC system that is safe, environmentally friendly, and allows you the ability to have bright lighting, phone charging capabilities, and run light duty electrical devices such as fans and radios. No, you can't blow dry or curl your hair. In the event a CPAP machine is needed, we can accommodate you with advanced notice.
Amazingly no! We do have the occasional fly, wasp, beetle, moth, maybe even a mosquito but nothing that will prevent you from enjoying your outdoor time. In fact the tents don't even need screens on the openings! We do provide spray can bug killer, citronella candles, fly swatter, and OFF just in case.
Yes, we supply a frying pan, sauce pan, cooking utensils, silicon mitt, paper plates, paper bowls, paper plates, real silverware, cutlery, fresh roasted gourmet coffee, coffee mugs, French press, wine glasses, grill, grilling tools, ice coolers, many more items on request such as a picnic basket, cast iron Dutch oven, etc.
With our fire danger always on high alert, no smoking is allowed on the property.
We ask our guests to respect the space around and near the other tents to ensure they have the privacy they deserve. Also, please don't wander onto our yard or parking area where we may not see you as we operate our vehicles and heavy equipment.
